What is it?

The Pensioner Denture Scheme (PDS) is a scheme that offers denture treatments including new dentures, relines and repairs through private dentists and dental prosthetics for eligible adult clients.

Who is eligible?

You will need to be a Pensioner Concession Card (PCC) holder and live in SA. The card must be in your name. Eligible adults must attend an assessment at a SA Dental clinic for their denture needs and be on a waiting list. For clients with natural teeth, conservative treatment is usually completed before the client is assessed for dentures. On your appointment day, bring your EDS form along with you as well as your current PCC or current Health Care Card.

What does it cover?

The PDS includes denture treatments, denture repairs and relines. Denture repair services to secondary dentures (backup dentures) are not covered under the PDS. Denture adjustments are not claimable.
